Trust is the whole point of The Smile Ledger. This page explains how we research, how we compare treatments, and how we keep our content honest.
How we research
We research cosmetic dentistry prices, treatment options, and financing by reviewing publicly available information from dental practices across the US, professional dental organizations, and established price-reporting sources. We compare multiple sources before publishing a figure, and we note where prices vary by region or provider.
How we make comparisons
Our comparisons are methodology-transparent: we explain what we compared, what we left out, and why. When two treatments are presented side by side, we judge both by the same criteria — cost, what’s included, how long results last, and the trade-offs. We don’t cherry-pick numbers to make one option look better.
No paid placement
No company can pay to be featured, ranked, or reviewed favorably on The Smile Ledger. Our cost guides and comparisons are never for sale. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be clearly labeled as such.
Update cadence
Dental prices move. We review our cost guides on a regular schedule and update them when our research shows prices have shifted. Each guide shows when it was last reviewed.
Corrections
We take accuracy seriously. If you spot an error, email info@cosmeticdentistrylocal.site. We investigate every report, correct confirmed errors promptly, and note significant corrections on the page so readers can see what changed.
